Hi Foxy

I am trying to change my card number for Ad Free, so I cancelled the current recurring charge and added a new recurring charge, but when I got done the old one said "Pageviews 50,000" and "Maximum 50,000" then in the new recurring charge it says "Pageviews 4,167" and "Maximum 4,167"

Even though I selected 50,000 in the drop down menu. The AD Free comes due Jan 1, should I wait until tomorrow to try this again? Anyway, my other card was high jacked so they won't be able to use it for tomorrows charges and it appears that since I unchecked recurring that the Ads are currently on the board.

So bare with me until I get this fixed back up as Ad Free

Hey Richard.  What a pleasant surprise seeing you again.  Sorry you are experiencing problems with your ad free status.  With the current amount of traffic at the INN, I really don't think you need to worry about the number of page views.  If you ever should go over maximum amount, just go to your Ad Free Page, click on settings then check NO on "Remove Ads For Guests."


I started going over 50,000 page views but not since I stopped removing ads for guests.  I have had as many as 200 guests in one 24 hour period and consistently have 60 to 80 in that time.  

It's really great to see you and I don't see any ads here.  Happy New Year, Richard.  I've missed you, but I try to look in every day.

Well let's see what I've learned since I started this post, the reason it only gave me 4,167 is because it was prorated for just 1 day left in the month, so I then canceled that one and rechecked the Recurring charge, the other thing I learned is there is no way to just change a card number in the account.

So, sometime about midnight they will probably see that they can't use that number anymore, I would stay up to check it out except proboards is from the west coast and midnight their time is 3 am my time.

So I'll just wait until I've had a cup of coffee in the morning and come in and check it out and see what I can do at that time

You are right, the Ads were not there earlier but they were when I just checked. Even though I had added another card number they simply cancelled the Ad Free account instead of using the new card number. They also sent an email to notify me and said if I wanted Ad Free I would need to purchase it again. So I just now did and the Ads are currently gone.

You would think that they would make it possible to be able to update or change the card number at any time just in case something like this were to happen, but they do not offer such a service.

And it's obvious that they try to charge the card the night before Ad Free is due, which that part I do not have an issue with.

So, at this point it does not even show my past Ad Free as they removed it completely from my account and I had to start a new subscription, which does not show me the date that I actually started the Ad Free subscription, other than tonights new subscription.

I'm glad you like the snow. How about Santa and his reindeer at the top of the page? They are headed for your House with the gifts in the sleigh :-)
